A Safety Data Sheet (SDS) is a form containing data regarding the properties of a particular substance. An important component of product stewardship and workplace safety, an SDS is intended to provide workers and emergency personnel with procedures for handling or working with that substance in a safe manner, and includes information such as physical data, melting point, boiling point, flash point, toxicity, health effects, first aid, reactivity, storage, disposal, protective equipment, and spill handling procedures. The exact format of an SDS can vary from country to country based on specific local requirements.

The SDS Resource Center offers several different ways to search for Safety Data Sheets in our database. Please read the following steps below:

Step 1:
Country/Region/Language: The search will only work if the country/region/language is selected. This will speed up the SDS search by narrowing it down to a much smaller number of documents to be searched.

Step 2:
Product Name: If you know the name of a product, or trademark name or maybe just a few characters -- start typing and a list of matching product names will appear. Scroll down to find the correct product.

Optional:
SDS Number or Material Number: If you are looking for a newer version of an SDS and if you know the SDS Number or Material Number, you may type it in and leave Product Name blank. The SDS Number and Material number can be found in the header of the SDS.
